Youth Week is an annual event held throughout BC during the first week of May, celebrating the remarkable contributions of young people to our communities. At the City of New Westminster, we're proud to be part of this province-wide celebration, recognizing the positive impact that our youth make all year round.

 

This exciting week is packed with fun and engaging events designed to build stronger connections between our youth and the City. Join us as we celebrate the extraordinary achievements of our youth and foster a vibrant, thriving community for all.

Unleash your inner artist and join us for an all-day art extravaganza. Collaborate with others to paint a letter from the word YOUTH, and create your very own unique shrink art keychain. Plus, challenge your imagination and explore various forms of creative expression through engaging activities such as creative writing and videography. Don't miss out on this fun-filled event!

There are five youth categories and a special recognition for an Adult Ally who has gone above and beyond to support our youth. Meeting in the Middle

Join us for a special gathering of youth and seniors at the Youth Centre. Enjoy delicious snacks and engaging activities while connecting with our neighbours from Century House. Gather your squad and join us for an adrenaline-packed 4-on-4 volleyball showdown between Youth and Emergency Services (Police & Fire)! Youth Week Wrap Party

Don't miss the grand finale of Youth Week! Join us for our highly-anticipated annual wrap party where we'll be serving up plenty of mouth-watering snacks and a variety of exciting indoor and outdoor activities. Soak up the fun atmosphere as we bid farewell to another amazing Youth Week.

Friday,May 5: QCC Drop-in Open House - Parents Welcome!

Parents: this is your chance to experience a night of youth drop-in!  Take part in a fun basketball game of parents versus youth, join in our Friday night dinner program, sing karaoke, and play board games. Meet our Youth Services staff and learn more about our programs. 

 

Enter to win Door prizes for attending and prizes for participating.
