Summer Drop-In, Age 11–18 Welcome!

Looking for a place to hang out, get active, meet new friends, or try something new this summer? We offer affordable drop-in programs for youth ages 11–18 throughout the summer at locations across the city.


Whether you’re into sports, gaming, cooking, music, art, or just chilling with friends, there’s something happening almost every day of the week.

Most drop-ins are just $1 or free with a New West Youth Membership Pass.

What’s Happening This Summer

Sports & Active Programs

Stay active with a variety of casual and welcoming sports programs for all skill levels.

Programs include:

  • Youth Sports Drop-In

  • Basketball Drop-In

  • Badminton Bash

  • Get in the Game

  • Parks Outdoor Challenges

Games, Music & Social Hangouts

Relax, connect, and have fun with friends in a safe and supportive environment.

Programs include:

  • Game & Grub

  • Game Lounge

  • Chill and Play

  • Chill Vibes Music Lounge

  • Music Scene

  • Lip Sync Battles

  • Dungeons and Dragons

  • Youth DJ

Creative & Cooking Programs

Get hands-on with art, crafts, baking, and cooking activities.

Programs include:

  • Explore and Create

  • Art in Moody Park

  • Paint Lab

  • Creative Minds

  • Bake Studio

  • Cooking Wars

  • Whisk It

Locations

Programs take place at:

  • New West Youth Centre

  • Queensborough Community Centre

  • təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre

Schedules and activities vary throughout the week.

Membership & Admission

  • Most Youth Drop-In Programs: $1

  • Some Sports Drop-in Programs: $2

  • Youth Fitness Centre: $2 (or $1 with membership)

  • Annual Youth Membership: $21.50

The New West Youth Membership includes access to neighbourhood and Youth Centre drop-ins, discounted programs and events, and more.
