The City of New Westminster proudly opened the New West Youth Centre on September 15, 2010. The concept of the facility was developed through an innovative partnership between New West Youth Services and the Century House Senior's Association.

Funding for the New West Youth Centre was a combined fundraising effort from residents of New Westminster, grant funding, and contributions from community-based businesses.

The New West Youth Centre offers a variety of amenities that include: a large lounge, video-game station, kitchen, computer lab, multi-purpose space, fitness room and conversation spaces. There are also an array of exciting programs for youth to partake in; such as the Royal City Sound DJ program, New West Music Scene and Youth Cooking Program.

Need to finish up some homework?  Type out a resume?  We've got computers waiting for you.  Accessible through the New Westminster Public Library, all you need is your library card and you're all set.  Computer usage is limited to 60 minutes and monitored by Youth Staff.

Fitness Facility

Our facility features state-of-the-art weight and cardio equipment, exercise balls and resistance bands.

BCRPA trained staff are on-site to provide an orientation, tips and assist in developing an exercise program for sports and healthy living!

Exercise room fees are $1 for a drop-in or $10/month.

Orientations are mandatory for safety.

Pool Table

Rack'em up!  A regulation size pool table is located within the New West Youth Centre.  Always available for a game or two - youth can even challenge our staff to a game...if they dare!

Multi-Purpose Room

Shoot some hoops, kick around a soccer ball or grab a couple hockey sticks! Our Multi-Purpose Room has it all.  Most often busy for Friday evening pick-up games, this space is dominated by youth basketball enthusiasts.
