Summer Events for Youth 2025

The New West Youth team has been working hard planning awesome events and activities to enjoy all summer long. See you there!

Some events are free or very low cost. Join us for outdoor sports pop-ups scootering, music and art in the park hangouts, bbq, and more, Youth aged 11 - 18 years welcome!

​Soccer Pop-Up (11 - 18 years) Wednesday, 5:00 - 8:00 pm July 9 + 23 August 6 + 20 @ New West Youth Centre/Moody Park Drop-in $1 or Free with Youth Membership	Get yourself on the pitch and score some goals at our soccer pop-up!
Lacrosse Pop-up (11 - 18 years) Tuesday, 5:00 - 8:00 pm Jul 15 + 29 Aug 12 + 26 @ New West Youth Centre/Moody Park Drop-in $1 or Free with Youth Membership	Extra fun in a park near you! We'll bring the games and activities, prizes, and music from Bridge City Sound DJs. Get a quick DJ lesson or request your favourite song. Activities are targeted to youth but family and friends of all ages are welcome to join too.
Court Nights (11 - 18 years) Fridays, 5:00 - 8:00 pm Jul 4 Queensborough CC Jul 11 + Aug 15 təməsew̓txʷ Jul 25 + Aug 8 New West Youth Centre​ Drop-in $1 or Free with Youth Membership	Meet up for games, contests, and tournaments!
Boro Scooter Jam (11 - 18 years) Saturday, 3:00 - 5:00 pm July 19 + August 30 'Boro All Wheel Park FREE	Come show your skills, compete, and have fun performing tricks and races!
Smash Squad Volleyball (11 - 18 years) Friday, 5:00 - 8:00 pm Jul 18 + Aug 22 @ təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic & Community Ctr Drop-in $1 or Free with Youth Membership	Spike, volley and rally with friends!
Seniors & Youth BBQ Blast Monday, August 25, 2:00 - 5:00 pm @ New West Youth Centre Moody Park Youth $1, Seniors $2	Fun under the sun and delicious food in the park! This event offers a chance for youth and seniors to come together and enjoy each other's company. 11- 18 years welcome and 50+.
Summer Send Off Friday, August 29, 6:00 - 9:00 pm  (11 - 18 years) @ New West Youth Centre or @Queensborough Community Centre @təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Ctr Drop-in $1 or Free with Youth Membership	Close out the summer with an evening of BBQ and roasting marshmallows. There will be outdoor games, prizes and more!
Summer Youth Skates Saturday, 2:00 - 3:30 pm  (11 - 18 years) @Moody Park Arena July 12 + August 9 Drop-in $2 includes skate rental (helmets are free)	Cool off with friends on the ice! Enjoy games, prizes, and live music by youth DJs. Registration is optional, drop-ins welcome.
